The Straits of Malaya is a Malaysian-Singaporean restaurant in the Dupont Circle area in Washington, D.C.  We have been proud to be gay owned and operated since we opened in 1989.  Food from the restaurant is also available in Larry's Lounge, the neighborhood bar next door.  We have outdoor seating, including delightful roof-top dining.  Our food is cooked to order and we welcome vegetarians and others who have special requirements.   Our food and service is family style.   We are open from 5-10:30 Sunday-Thursday and 5-11:00 on Friday and Saturday.
