A. Shaye, Ph.D.

Do you feel anxious? Overwhelmed? Sad? I work in an active-therapy model to ensure that you see your feelings and situations change quickly. I provide a type of therapy that quickly promotes healthy relationships, decreases anxiety, and soothes depression. Additionally, you gain insight into your thoughts and actions and will get to know yourself better. Resulting in self-awareness that leads to feelings of self-control of moods, actions, and day-to-day interactions.

Secondly, I help give you tools to reduce tension, stress, guilt, muscle aches, stomach upset, sleeplessness through simple coping mechanisms paired with changing core though processes. You can start building a new way of thinking and a new way to experience the world.

I welcome diversity of all types (gender, age, culture, sexual orientation, etc.) and I make sure that all individuals know the value and strengths they uniquely posses. Therapy is not about "changing" who you are but about making you the "best you".

Takes out the strange from therapy, 07-21-2011 12:05PM

I was really nervous to start therapy, but Dr. Shaye was kind, honest, direct, yet sensitive. I felt understood, finally.

 Feeling Better, 07-21-2011 12:05PM

I thought I would get someone who just sits there and listens like a wall, but much to my surprise, Dr. Shaye was active and gave me tools to feel better emotionally. She saw things in me that I have always felt but was unable to state. I was let down by previous therapy experiences, but I am glad I gave it another try. It worked.
