Hillsdale House Inn B&B

Hillsdale House Inn is an authentic Nova Scotia Bed & Breakfast / Inn located in historic Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. It is also located just minutes from one of the oldest European settlements in the New World, Port Royal. Built in 1859 as an Inn, the property has catered to visitors for more than 150 years, including a few illustrious persons. The most notable of these include Prince George of Wales in 1884, later King George V; governors-general Lord Lansdowne in 1880 and Lord Tweedsmuir in 1937; and the Right Honourable W.L. MacKenzie King, Prime Minister of Canada.

The Inn has 12 rooms & 1 suite and is set on a 12 acre estate with manicured lawns, stately trees and numerous gardens. Guestrooms and public areas are individually decorated with fine antiques and artwork. Each guestroom is equipped with a private ensuite bath and other modern conveniences such as television, telephone and CD clock radio.

During their stay, guests can relax in one of 3 parlours surrounded by Victorian period antiques, on the covered side veranda overlooking the gardens, or find a quiet corner on the grounds. Each morning guests can awaken relaxed and invigorated then make their way to the elegant dining room where they will be served freshly ground coffee and a delicious full hot breakfast, including Hillsdale's homemade Nova Scotia brown bread and jams.

Hillsdale House Inn has been recognized by TripAdvisor® with a 2010 Travelers’ Choice Award placing it among the top 10 B&B's/Inns in Canada. The Inn was the only recipient east of Ontario.
