House of 1833 Bed & Breakfast Resort

The House of 1833 Bed and Breakfast Resort is a Greek Revial mansion, National Landmark, and antique home on 3 acres of English gardens.  We feature a seasonal full size swimming pool surrounded by fountains and gardens; featuring sun cots, glass tables with big market umbrellas, a shade canopy of classic wicker furniture, an Entertainment Gazebo with fridge and sound system, and gas grill.    

We include a full New England country-grourmet candlelight breakfast each morning, with special breakfasts events on holidays.  Our 5 guest suites all include full private bath, working wood-burning fireplaces, air, cable television, am/fm CD players, and antique furnishings; four of our suites have over-size Jacuzzi hot tubs and flat panel televisions with DVD players, and two feature private garden terraces. Wireless internet is available throughout (even poolside) ... hooray!

Conveneiently located to all the Mystic attractions, Foxwoods Casino, Mohegan Sun Casino, the Mystic River, great shopping and world-class dining, the Cioast Guard Academy, and US Naval Sub Base and many vineyards, we are located near the beginning of the Mystic River.

We receive guests 7 days a week year round and are open for all holidays.  Weddings are a special feature here at the 'big white house on the hill'; ready for ceremonies and reception events from simple two person intimate affairs... up to 250 guests.
