Celebrating the rich and troubled LGBTA history, the Montréal Pride Celebrations is preparing another exciting and colourful program that will underscore the energy and pride of the vibrant Montréal LGBTA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual, Transgender, Transvestite and Allies) community under the general theme, “Share the Pride.”
One of the major highlights is the traditional Pride Parade, which in 2011 is under the artistic direction of "Odyssey of the Future." The Parade is held on René-Lévesque Boulevard West, from Guy to Sanguinet streets, right in the heart of downtown Montréal.
Community Day, one other key event, is held again this year all along Sainte-Catherine Street between Berri and Papineau streets. Visitors will be able to discover a wide variety of booths and the diversity of a unique community.
Many shows and activities will take place during the 5-day event at Parc Émilie-Gamelin. In addition to a conference, a major t-dance, parties and a play in different other venues.
