Newcastle Ravens RFC

Get Physical, Get Passionate, Get Playing.

Established in May 2006, Newcastle Ravens Rugby Football Club is for people who are interested in playing for or supporting a gay-friendly rugby team in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The team was established to encourage gay people to enjoy the sport and to introduce new and potential players to rugby as well as developing the skills of experienced players.

New players (regardless of age, experience or sexual orientation) are welcome throughout the season.

All are welcome. Sessions are designed to allow new players to turn up at any point of the season. Initially you just need sports kit, but after a few sessions you may want to invest in boots and a gum shield.

Directions

The Novos ground is just a short walk from Four Lane Ends Metro. As you walk out of the metro station turn left, then cross over at the main road. Keep going straight, you will pass some shops on your right, and you take the second road on your right, called The Drive. You walk to the end of The Drive and you will see the rugby ground on your left.
