San Francisco Sex Information trains people to become sex educators and operates a free sex information and referral switchboard.
We have been providing free, confidential, accurate, non-judgmental information about sex and reproductive health for more than 38 years. We provide information about sex over the phone, through email, and using social networking. If you have a question about sex, we'll either answer it or refer you to someone who can.
Our volunteers undergo over 57 hours of extensive training in all aspects of human sexuality, including reproduction, birth control, safer sex practices, HIV and other STDs, sexual identity, and gender identity. We also offer ongoing continuing education classes on topics of interest to sex educators, helping professionals, and anyone curious about the workings of human sexuality.
