Starlight Llama Solar B&B

Starlight Llama Solar B&B is conveniently located on 65 acres of conservation-restricted property in Florence, MA just 10 minutes from downtown Northampton.  We are a vegetarian, non-smoking inn.  Our rooms have a single queen-sized bed, a chair and a desk,and two have their own bathroom in the room.  The third room has its private bath located across the private hall. 

Breakfast starts with granola, fresh fruit and yogurt and an in-season dish that features organic foods from our own gardens or eggs from our free-range hens.  Depending upon the season you may wake to Swedish oatmeal pancakes, zucchini crepes, pumpkin pancakes, spinach frittata, German apple pancake or broccoli-goat cheese omlettes.  We can accomodate vegan or gluten/dairy free diets.

We welcome you to walk our trails, visit the llamas or goats, toss snacks to the peacocks and chickens, or just sit in the sun with a cup of coffee or tea and listen to the emus drumming.   The contemporary passive-solar designehouse is off-the-grid so we do not have air conditioning.  Each room has a fan.  We have free wi-fi.  We cannot accomodate pets, but have 3 dogs (2 pugs and a lab) you may visit. 

Chesterfield Road is where the Northampton Bike club comes to ride, so just turn out of our driveway and enjoy the winding roads, or pick up the bike path in Leeds.  In winter bring your snow shoes or skis.  Nearby you will find Smith College Museum of Art, shopping and the amazing restaurants of Northampton.  Within an hour's drive you can readh MassMOCA, Tanglewood, and Hancock Shaker Village.
