The Dairy Guest House was built in 1997.
The Hotel has historic significance and dates back to the 1920’s when it was a corner store. This store is now the hub from where breakfasts are served and still retains the original wooden floorboards and entrance.
In 2003 John Martin and his wife Susanna along with Andrew and Claire Brinsley bought the property. Both couples are long time locals and hold a strong passion for the Queenstown area.
Six months later an extensive refurbishment of The Dairy Guest House was undertaken transforming it into The Dairy Private Luxury Hotel, welcoming guests into this stylish small hotel that reflects its superb location, distinctive character and charm.
Your hosts Paul Cook and Matt Diack purchased the business in April 2011 and both have extensive experience in tourism and hospitality
“From the minute that you walk through the door to the time that you leave our focus is entirely on you, to provide the very best hospitality and service during your stay. We provide a unique experience compared to larger hotels.
We enjoy getting to know our guests, help them with bookings, onward travel and anything else that they need. Everyone loves the home baked afternoon teas and cooked breakfasts….they appreciate the personal touches.
Our role here at The Dairy is very rewarding, each day is different and the people who stay here are all so wonderful and interesting, from all corners of the globe, and all with the same appreciation of our small hotel with New Zealand hospitality….”
