The Moravians left the village of Hope, NJ in 1808, and all the church-owned buildings were sold. The water-powered mill continued grinding local farmers' grain for another 136 years. Closed for nearly 3 decades, the mill and surrounding buildings were restored and renovated to become the Inn at Millrace Pond.
Today, the Inn meets the 21st-century needs of discerning guests. Features include the Main Dining Room (Zagat Rated), Fireside Tavern, 17 guest rooms, and the Meeting House. Our 23-acre campus boasts rolling lawns, the centuries old millrace carved from solid rock, a tennis court, and woodland paths
