Bailey House Bed and Breakfast

Four large guest rooms in the historic (c1770) house, all with their own private, en suite washroom are offered in addition to a newly built, special upscale Coach House.

The large, elegant Elizabeth “Marm” Bailey Room is tastefully appointed with warm cocoa coloured walls and elegant light wood furnishings including a pencil poster queen-size bed, night stands, and a hand painted armoire.

The John Easson Room is decorated with solid wood Canadiana reproductions in black. The elegant traditional pencil poster queen-sized bed, bachelor’s bureau, bed-side chests and blanket trunk are striking against the rich Cabernet toned walls.

The Thomas Chandler Haliburton Room is the newest guest room at the Bailey House. It is a beautifully appointed space with rich oak Mission-style furnishings including queen bed, double-sized dresser, cut-out armoire, and night table. The room is painted an elegant Tate olive, an historic colour, in keeping with the house’s Georgian style.

The large, bright Joseph Totten Room is beautifully appointed with golden walls accentuated by dark rich wood furnishings including a king-sized sleigh bed, night stands, bureau, small writing desk and blanket chest. Original door and hinge finishings, a decorative period fireplace, crown mouldings and original pine painted floors add to the authenticity of this typical Georgian room.

The Coach House is a quaint, 2 storey building with two bedrooms. The upstairs consist solely of one large bed/sitting room, while the main floor bedroom is also roomy. Both of these rooms are fashioned with rich Canadian made, all wood, shaker style furnishings stained a dark blue that is reflective of the beautiful hues of the waters in the Annapolis Basin. The main floor sitting area is graced with large comfortable chairs. The 4 piece bathroom is stylishly appointed with glass mosaic and ceramic tiles.
