The managing partner, Catherine LaFond, opened her first law firm in 1998 and has been handling real estate closings and estate planning for the LGBT community since that time.
In 2009, Catherine decided to go back to law school to obtain a masters in law (LL.M.) in estate planning from the University of Miami School of Law. Upon returning to her law practice in Charleston, SC, her all female law firm has focused their efforts towards estate planning and elder law, particularly in the area of Medicaid crisis planning, Medicaid pre-planning, special needs planning and veterans benefits, while still handling residential & commercial real estate purchases, refinances, reverse mortgages and developments. Our attorneys are accredited with the VA to assist veterans with their claims and are barred with the US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
