Corinne “Corie” Beniasians, PA-C, MS-PA, MSL currently works with Gilead Sciences, Inc as a Senior Medical Scientist in HIV Prevention. She has had experience in working at various large FQHC medical establishments, as well as private clinics, promoting Sexual Health and Safe Sex Practices, including the use of PrEP as an HIV prevention option.
She earned her degrees in NYC, where she graduated top of her class from Pace University, earning a Magna Cum Laude Latin honors award. Her interest in HIV prevention and AIDS awareness began with organizations like Body Positive, and an education company, Pajama Program, which worked with at-risk youth to prevent drug use and educate regarding STD and HIV prevention. Upon graduation, Corie worked in several medical specialties, including HIV prevention and treatment, STI management, Transhealth, Internal/Family Medicine, Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, and Rheumatology.
Corie worked for several large LGBTQ+ medical organizations, starting as a per diem STI provider and working up to implementing and managing PrEP programs and Transhealth care policies.
Corie's desire to further LGBTQ+ heathcare awareness and policies allowed her to be invited an adjunct professor, lecturing at South University and University of Tampa to further educate the next generation of health care providers regarding the importance and need for LGBTQ+ focused health care. She continues to educate at a university level, and is now a Senior Medical Scientist working with Gilead to educate the community regarding the importance of PrEP as an HIV prevention option.
She also had been an invited guest speaker, panelist, and presenter at multiple conferences, including the Southern Comfort Transgender Conference, American Academy of Physicians, Armenian-American Medical Conference and many more.
