[CLOSED]

The home furnishings store which now enters its 22nd year of business has once again switched up its name and game. After two decades of helping shellac Miami Beach's image and evolution into "SoBe" by furnishing it's sometime famous an always style conscious clientele, owners Ricardo Raphael and Perry Tortorelli look back fondly on that era as "those Halcyon days of booming growth, when a 'more is more' mentality swept the Island.

In 2008 when the economic tide on the beach began to shift the partners left and headed west to Biscayne's Upper Eastside. After a short-term trial of offering their brand of furniture and accessories in a new large showroom, they found that business particularly in the Real Estate and the Home Furnishings sectors had remained flat.

Call it Kismet or just plan luck that the only two soul survivors from the early South Beach days are once again neighbors. Details moved to the 55th Street Station a few stores down from Soykas/New's Cafe. The quiet earthy/glam atmosphere makes for the perfect mix. Having just opened in early December, Details already seems like a fixture at the Station and is again on the pulse of what feels right for the time with it's new concept, "Cultured Curiosities & Little Luxuries."
