I am a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice with an expertise in the treatment of LGBTQ issues and concerns that include, but are not limited to, coming out, relationship dynamics, internalized and social homophobia, shame-based depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and self-worth due to difficulties living as an LGBTQ individual, couple, or family in a heteronormative society. I am also experienced in sexual health, HIV/AIDS issues related to disclosing an HIV-positive status, coping with the psychological and emotional aspects of living with HIV, as well as the stress associated with the medical complications stemming from HIV and/or its treatment. I completed my post-doctoral clinical training at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute and Hospital, where I received specialized training for the treatment of the following disorders:
