John T. H. Mandeville has trained at some of the best known institutions in the country. He received his MD and PhD degrees from the College of Physicians & Surgeons at Columbia University after completing his undergraduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Mandeville completed his ophthalmology residency at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles, followed by a fellowship sponsored by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Dr. Mandeville's clinical practice focus is cosmetic and reconstructive eye plastic surgery. This includes surgery around the eyes, including the eyelids and brows, tear ducts and orbits.
His scientific background helps Dr. Mandeville to critically evaluate the latest treatments and technologies in the field of oculoplastics. He actively lectures at regional eye society meetings, hospital grand rounds and other venues. Dr. Mandeville has taught ophthalmology residents at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and workshop courses through the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has published papers and review articles in a wide variety of scientific journals.
Dr. Mandeville is currently on staff at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, South Shore Hospital, Carney Hospital, Good Samaritan Medical Center and Beth Israel Deaconess-Milton Hospital. He currently is currently open for consultations in Quincy, Weymouth, and Plymouth, MA.
