Anchorage, Alaska - Gay & Lesbian Community Center open 7 days a week in downtown Anchorage. Local information, computers, friendly, welcoming faces. Weekdays 3 to 6 pm; weekends noon to 6 pm.
In addition to the Gay & lesbian Community Center, the non-profit Identity, Inc.'s other programs include June Pridefest and Parade, October Pride Conference at at local university campus, a 365 day a year Helpline answered each evening 6:00 to 11:00 pm by a trained volunteer (258-4777), an Advocacy Team for educating about gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender culture, support of youth programs from high school through college, and a quarterly newsletter, NorthView available on our website. The website also has a resources section primarily for local services, businesses and organizations.
All programs are supported by community volunteers. Identity, Inc. has been serving the glbt community in Anchorage and across Alaska since 1977.
