Lambda North

Lambda North

Our Purpose

To provide a physically safe properly maintained, mentally and spiritually healthy environment for those in the recovery process, and to offer support and growth opportunities for a better quality of life for the LGBTQ community, their families, and the communities in which they serve.

To provide support for the development of living skills to be made available to those attending meetings at Lambda North, as well as the general public, through classes, seminars, workshops ect.

Palm Beach County is a known national destination for drug and alcohol rehabilitation and halfway house services in recovery. That fact empowers Lambda North to serve not only the Palm Beaches, but on a national level as well. Through outreach, membership drives, our Anniversary gala, and grants from foundations we have made Lambda North a safe haven for those in recovery; whether for days or many years where they can express themselves, find fellowship, and create a network of support to aid them in becoming or remaining a sober productive member of society.

Learning to live sober is a lifelong commitment. For many in the LGBTQ recovery community drugs and alcohol became part of a vicious life style. Being able to live, work, and socialize within our community, and as importantly in the community at large, is a critical component for success. Lambda North offers many opportunities for service work and social sober activities. Getting a strong and comfortable foundation is something Lambda North provides. It can be scary and lonesome in recovery as a LGBTQ person. Our organization helps reinforces that we are not alone and we are not unique.
