For couples, we assist in filing for reciprocal beneficiary status and/or name changes. For families with young children, we address concerns about guardians for minor children in the estate plan. We help clients reposition assets before retirement. We will work with your financial planner to develop an estate plan that minimizes tax consequences and protects your assets. We work with you to provide the legal underpinnings for your estate plan.
Trust Funding
Not only do we prepare your estate plan, we assist you in funding the trust by filing any required documents, such as, affidavits, land court petitions and deeds – whether the property is in Hawaii or other states, such as California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington.
Document Preparation
We review and draft documents. We prepare legal documents for estate planning, business formation, and property ownership.
Neighbor Islands
We enjoy working with clients on the Neighbor Islands. We work with neighboring clients primarily by phone and e-mail. We will also travel to your home. We currently have clients on the Big Island, Lanai, Maui and Kauai.
