Los Angeles Black Pride (LABP), formerly At the Beach (ATB) was started in the summer 0f 1988 with a group of friends who decided to come together for a day of planned activities and socializing at the beach. Since then, LABP is has grown into one of the most widely attended pride celebrations in the U.S.
Today, Black same-gender loving (SGL) persons from around the country gather in Los Angeles Independence Day weekend not only for a day of fun in the sun but to exchange ideas and develop strategies to advance their common goals and objectives.
Our Mission
