My formal background in horticulture and my degree in painting and drawing are integrated into the landscape design of each property. In each design, I introduce the attributes of composition, color, texture, and light. My lifelong dedication to my art is the source of inspiration in creating a detailed design.
The philosophy of the client, the location of the property and the style of the architecture are all synthesized into the ideas of the design.
My goal is to create a microcosm of the world for the client to get away to. This is accomplished by the various elements such as: arbors, pergolas, walls, courtyards, streams, fountains, and the tapestry of colors and textures woven by the plants into the design.
All of the elements are shown in a way which creates an overall harmonious mood to the design. The harmony is approached either by an eclectic array of garden rooms within the whole or by a direct them set forth by the ambiance of the space and by the needs and individualism of the client.
