Opened in 1997, Tanners Inn is situated on 11 scenic acres in Ontario's "Near North" tourism region, surrounded by the area's natural beauty and only 5 minutes from a beautiful sandy beach. Magnetawan, Ontario is 3 hours north of Toronto, 45 minutes worthwest of Huntsville, 2 hours southeast of Sudbury, 40 minutes east of Parry Sound and 1 hour south of North Bay.
Although small in size, the inn offers a wide variety of accommodations and is open year round. Our guest accommodations were designed and built with many extras, including such personal favourites as patterned sheets and towels, cork screws for your wine, a patio table and umbrella, magazines, board games and playing cards. Our Sahara Lodge Room sleeps two persons and has gas BBQ, fridge and microwave. Our 2 spacious, deluxe, two bedroom cottages, Summerside and Cavendish, come with A/C, fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, BBQ and fireplace. There's also an outdoor camp fire pit. Our Cedar Grove Suite has A/C, fully equipped kitchen, large private sun deck, gas BBQ and a big shower stall for 2 persons with a built in seat.
