Rug Wash, Inc. is a rug cleaning company that started out in Manhattan, New York.

The company was founded in 1984 and for the first few years, only serviced the New York tri-state and metropolitan area. Since then we have expanded our services throughout the United States. We specialize in cleaning and repair services for rugs, carpets and upholstery, amongst other services.
In the mid 90's special washes for rugs started becoming popular and only a few rug companies in the U.S., including Rug Wash, had developed their own washes called Antique Wash. Our specialized Antique Wash for rugs transforms a new rug into one that looks the same as an expensive, very old rug. The texture becomes softer, and the overall feel is of a museum rug.  James R. Hagerty from The Wall Street Journal wrote a piece about the special Antique Rug Wash in 1998.

In 2012, we purchased a simple washing machine that included three departments and turned it into a custom made Oriental Rug Washing machine.  Giving us the capacity of washing 1,000 sq ft of rug and holding 4,000 gallons of water in only one load.  Each load takes about an hour to finish. This unique custom made rug washing machine leaves rugs looking sparkling clean.
