Under the leadership of Pastor Valerie Williams, St Luke’s Community Church is ethnically diverse, provides a blended worship experience and is a Christ-centered community offering a church home, an extended family and a “new life” in Christ to all who seek it. St. Luke’s welcomes everyone and provides inspirational Worship Services, Christian Education and other activities to equip, empower and encourage each person, as together we build a community of healing and reconciliation through faith, hope and love.
We recognize that all people are traveling a spiritual road; some of us at different places in that life’s journey. We are all spiritual beings having a human experience, non human beings having a spiritual experience.
Our focus is to follow Christ’s Great Commandment to love God with all our hearts, minds and souls, and to love our neighbors as ourselves while following the great commission to share Christ’s love and teachings with the entire world community. We believe that by committing ourselves to the great Commandment and the Great Commission we build a Great Church, the Body of Christ.
What We Do
History of Our Church
St. Luke’s Community Church has been ministering in the city of Jacksonville, Florida, since Easter Sunday, April 22, 1973, beginning as a study group and becoming a church body in January 1975.
