Sundance Outdoor Adventure Society is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization based in the New York New Jersey Connecticut Tristate region, devoted to outdoor activities for the LGBT community. Sundance is organized around these activities: Camping and Backpacking, Biking, Boating, Hiking, Metro & Cultural events, and Skiing/ Snowboarding. Most Sundance outings are within a two-hour radius of New York City. They can be as varied as an evening at the Museum of Modern Art, a hike in the Catskills, or a bike ride in the Hamptons. Most outings are day trips, but we also have weekend trips, as well as Extended Treks or vacation trips that last a week or longer and have ventured as far away as Europe, South America, New Zealand, and the Far East. Sundance also rents a Beach House on Fire Island Pines.
