"The Most Dangerous Year" tells the story a small group of Washington State families with transgender kids, who joined the fight against a wave of discriminatory anti-transgender legislation that swept the nation and their home state in 2016. With the help of a coalition of civil rights activists and like-minded lawmakers, these families fought tooth and nail to protect their children's lives and futures in this present-day civil rights struggle.
This film will be screened on Friday, August 10th at the Woodman Center, Moses Brown School, followed by a Q&A with the director, Vlada Knowlton.
