The Old Bakery Summer Cottage

This is a spacious, self contained, bright and cheerful cottage, featuring a full kitchen, master bedroom and a sleeping loft. French doors open onto its private deck, over looking China Cloud Bay. Bedding, towels and kitchenware are provided.

Listen to the birds sing, as you enjoy a hot, private outdoor shower, before setting off on your days’ adventure. Hiking, cycling and bird watching are only some of the activities to be enjoyed at the Old Bakery Cottage. Popular features at the cottage are our kayaks and rowboat. While some guests are content to paddle in the shallower waters of the bay, the slightly more adventurous, delight in kayaking the crystal clear waters of the nearby Finnerty Islands.

Tidal, China Cloud Bay, offers the warmest swimming around Lasqueti Island.

To relax, guests may choose to snug up with a hot chocolate, next to the cast iron wood stove, in the cosy living area, or simply kick back on the sunny private deck with a cool drink!

Remember, there is no electricity on Lasqueti Island so it’s wise to bring a flashlight if you plan on being out after dark. We are off-grid, we rely on solar energy and propane for lights, cooking and heat.
