Wingspan is Southern Arizona's LGBT Community Center. Our mission is to promote the freedom, equality, safety and well-being of LGBT people. Our three core programs are our Youth and Family Programs which consist of our Eon Youth Lounge and our Homeless Youth Project, our Anti-Violence Programs and 24 hour crisis line, and our Southern Arizona Gender Alliance (SAGA) which supports transgender people.
Wingspan was established in 1988 and still provides the only drop-in lounge for LGBT youth and the only formal program for transgender people in the state of Arizona. We also have several vibrant volunteer run efforts to include Senior Pride, Rainbow Families and Puertas Abiertas. We are know as the hub of the LGBT community in Tucson and for our rural outreach in Southern Arizona.
