Gentle tropical breezes blowing through the coconut palms welcome you to our glorious corner of the world. Close enough to hear the surf and far enough that the Sunday drum circle on the beach is only a distant thrumming. We are located in Kehena Beach Estates; five minutes walk from clothing-optional black sand Kehena Beach. Kehena is a precious pocket beach created by Pele, volcano goddess, during an eruption in 1955.
The Honey House is a 480 square foot studio, featuring a full kitchen and bath and a large living / sleeping room. Entry is at ground level.
Spinner dolphins and green sea turtles frequent our beach and humpback whales travel through our waters between December and March each year. During high surf conditions Kehena is an adventure for swimmers. During calm days the waves lap at the shore, children run in the surf and a young coral reef offers hours of entertainment for snorkling.
In addition to the public clothing optional beach we offer access to our private clothing optional permaculture garden for your shared enjoyment. Orange trees, avocados, bananas and other tropical fruits and flowers grow here in profusion right outside your door. The wind in the palms and the sound of the ocean will lull you to sleep at night.
