Barnacle Busters Scuba Club is the world’s first, and largest, scuba club dedicated to the gay and lesbian community. Founded in 1988 as part of a program providing healthful activities to gay men and women, Barnacle Busters promotes the sport of scuba diving and marine conservation through local underwater clean-ups, educational programs and volunteerism at the Aquarium of the Pacific. Our members also participate in fundraising for the local hyperbaric chamber, Diving For Life charity event and recruiting, certifying and educating new divers. Barnacle Busters is a non-profit organization licensed and registered in the state of California.
