Our natural lake is 3400 acres and boasts sailing, skiing, boating, jet skiing, fishing, kayaking and paddleboarding. We are also home to the Surf Ballroom & Museum and the Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, & Big Bopper Plane Crash Site.
Our signature events include the Winter Dance Party (a tribute to The Day the Music Died), a huge, week long July 4th Celebration, Thursdays on Main in the summer with vendors, music and movies in the park, Bicycle, Blues, & BBQ Festival, Art in the Park, Antiques in the Square, Harvest Festival (wine sampling, art, & music), our picturesque Christmas by the Lake, and several more!
