I am a licensed psychotherapist and clinical member of AAMFT.
I am committed to co-creating a safe environment with you, where ALL of who you are can show and be seen without judgment. My work is gentle and direct, seeking to support your process in becoming aware of how emotional problems affect body, mind, heart, and spirit, and how to heal from them. Painful, traumatic experiences from childhood or adult life can create self-destructive patterns, thoughts, or hurtful feelings and significantly limit our ability to live life on our own terms. Healing and growth can begin when a person's story and feelings are witnessed and supported by a knowledgeable and skilled therapist.
As a caring professionally trained psychotherapist, I believe I can help you live a more peaceful, satisfying and emotionally fulfilled life, to improve communication skills and to have healthier, loving relationships.
My training includes Internal Family Systems Therapy, process therapy at Shalom Mountain in Livingston Manor, NY, and I am trained as a PEER therapist (Primary Emotional Energy Recovery), facilitating emotional release work with individuals and groups, helping people overcome unresolved hurt, anger, grief and fear. I was a volunteer and Board of Directors member for many years for the Hartford Gay & Lesbian Health Collective.
