The Greater Boston Chapter of PFLAG (Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) is working to change attitudes and create an environment of understanding so that our gay family members and friends can live in a world that is safe, supportive, and inclusive.
We save lives and keep families together by fostering open dialogue between LGBT youth and their families. Through support, education, and advocacy, we strive to help:
Our main programs are our monthly support groups in several towns throughout Massachusetts, One-to-One Parent Support, our Safe Schools Program to educate and inspire students, adminstrators, and faculty in middle and high schools to stop anti-gay language and bullying, our Workplace Outreach which provides speakers to create safe and welcoming workplaces for LGBT employees, and our speakers bureau to provide youth and adult speakers for community, workplace, and religious organizations.
