Joshua Home: An LGBTQ+ Safe Haven

Joshua Home an LGBTQ Safe Haven has been a convener of resources and services in the Inland Empire for 10 years. Our mission is to provide a safe haven for LGBTQ+ youth who are experiencing homelessness in the Inland Empire. We are dedicated to ending youth homelessness by creating gender-inclusive housing solutions, supportive services, and programs that support youth and educate and counsel families.

We are happy to share the great news that we have secured a space for the first exclusive LGBTQ+ drop-in center in the I.E., and we are officially cleared to open the doors!

The Center @ Joshua Home will provide a range of services, programs, and resources that are designed to support LGBTQ+ youth who are experiencing homelessness, and other LGBTQ+ youth as they build the skills and resilience they need to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives. The following are our main areas of focus:

• Parents of Pride: Parents of LGBTQ+ children mentoring, support, and education.
• Academic Support: Tutoring, study skills, assistance with college applications, and financial aid.
• Life Skills Development: Financial Literacy, cooking and nutrition, gardening, job readiness, and more.
• Basic Needs Support: Clothing and shoes, personal hygiene items, resources, and more. 

At Joshua Home, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive community for LGBTQ+ youth who are experiencing homelessness, and other LGBTQ+ youth in the Inland Empire. We believe that by advocating for housing and providing services and programs that are tailored to the unique needs of LGBTQ+ youth, we can help young people build a brighter future for themselves.
