The Inn on Main is located right on historic Old King’s Highway (Route 6A). The highway started out as a cart path for local peoples to trade. This home was originally built sometime between 1790 and 1810 by E.W. Crocker, during a time when whaling and trading were at their peak on Cape Cod. The style of the home is Georgian – Full Cape with some Federal influence you see in the side windows around the front door. There were 3 additions, all added on by 1860. The home was entered on the historical registry of homes in 1979.
