Historic Inn & Function Center
The MacKinnon Cann Historic Inn was built in 1887 in the Italianate Victorian Style as a sister house for the children of Zibina Goudey. The names pays homage to the granddaughters' married names and represents 80 years of interior design spanning the 8 decades of the families ownership.
The Innkeepers, Michael Tavares & Neil Hisgen, rescued this condemned mansion in the summer of 2000 from the wrecking ball. From the dust and debris rose one of Nova Scotia's finest lodging and eating establishments. 'Business of the Year for 2007' awarded by Tourism Industry of Nova Scotia.
Our five principle rooms on the main floor make up our parlour and dining area. Our seven guest suites feature a journey through time. From the 1900's room through the 1960's room our guests are transported back through the generations of this house.
'Tell us what decade you would like to visit and let us take you there'.
'Kabir's at the Inn' located at the Inn is an Authentic Indian Cuisine Fine Dining experience.
