I have finished reading "Love Won't Let Me Be Silent". I thoroughly enjoyed it! I didn't realize that this work is somewhat autobiographical about your personal self discovery through key events in your life. Although homosexuality was the vehicle for telling the story, to me your "coming out" was not the real story.
The battles you've faced on many fronts represent the fabric of this book to me. Your battle against racial discrimination by whites both gay and straight, the discrimination you've faced by conservative and closed minded blacks, understanding your spiritual gifts and how to use them, and how to live and love in a same-gender relationship. It is beautiful that you found the answer to your life's many challenges through your belief in Christ Jesus.
As I mentioned in a previous message, my favorite topic was about love. Finding you are worthy of love. Finding what love means to you, Finding how to love yourself and finding that special person to love.

Terry Angel Mason's book is a beautiful reflection of his positive energy and amazing resilience. Mason challenges societal bias, but without accusation of individuals- instead, he invites change through the sharing of stories. It is open and passionate, full of encouragement and triumph for those who share any of the author's experiences, yet is still very accessible to anyone else who has ever loved and felt so strongly for someone that love simply wouldn't let them be silent.

Out of every struggle for Equal Rights, 1 powerful voice comes forth alone & represents millions to stand up for the basic rights for every human being. Finally, today's generation has receives their just do. Author, Terry Angel Mason has beautifully chronicled the events that have shaped & molded his reality as not just a Black Gay man in America but also a Christian. I innocently picked it up thinking it was going to be a steamy love story because of the cover art. Much to my dismay, from the Introduction I was encouraged not to be silent about my juxtoposition in our coutry anymore simply because I am uniquely made! Thank you Mr. Mason for sharing his truths, triumphs & troubles concerning Gay Love & Life in a sincerely wise, profound book of messages that echoes Gandhi, Martin Luther King & Nelson Mandela.
You inspire us all, from the nooks and crannies of the hood to the never ending skies above the hilltops. We are blessed that God has given you the talent and voice!
