Experienced homophobia? Share your story. Let others know that they're not alone
ClosetLetter is a space designed for people who have experienced or witnessed homophobia first-hand to share their story - in their own words.
The idea is to get stories from people who identify as gay, lesbian, bi, trans, queer, closeted or not, and straight friends. From teenagers to working professionals and everyone in between, we can gauge just how common and widespread these occurrences really are and that they can happen to anyone.
My hope for ClosetLetter is to show that you're not alone when faced with situations of discrimination. Seeing the words written from the perspective of the people it happens to can also be a learning experience for everyone. From parents to employers to teachers who may or may not be aware of these situations or aren't able to understand the effects.
