Mission

What is our purpose?
Our mission is to empower persons in Central Indiana affected by HIV/AIDS to move forward each day with dignity and to lead the fight to prevent the spread of HIV.

Vision

What we seek to build:
We envision Central Indiana free of the suffering caused by HIV/AIDS. Until then, we envision that every HIV-affected person in Central Indiana knows that The Damien Center is a safe and welcoming place so that no barriers separate people from the services they need to prolong and enhance their lives.

Services

All services at The Damien Center are free of charge. Call for an appointment for any service.

Testing/Prevention

• Free testing for HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, Chlamydia, trichomoniasis, and hepatitis C
• Comprehensive Risk Counseling Services
• Teen Damien (youth prevention)

Care Coordination

• Specialty case management for people affected by or infected with HIV

Client Services and Enrichment

• Support groups
• Food pantry
• Career development
• Housing and emergency financial assistance
• Building a Future (class series teaching life skills)
• Client events
