The AIDS Fund provides support to more than 1,241 individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS and give them hope for a brighter future. The AIDS Fund continually adds new programs and services to reflect the changing needs of out clients and their family. The AIDS Fund provides:
Case management: Case Management plays a vital role in the overall care and well-being of our clients and their affected family members. Case Managers provide direct oversight of client service planning and coordination of services to provide, maintain and support people living with HIV/AIDS.
Emergency Financial Assistance: Assistance with utilities and certain household expenses.
Housing: (both short-term and long-term) Funds housing assistance and related services to our clients and their families to maintain and secure their residence.
Support Groups: We provide seven support groups geared toward different segments of the population. Topics are relevant to each groups unique situations.
Meals/Food Pantry: Meals/Food Pantry Program is a key element in the overall health & welfare of our clients.
Employment Assistance: Provides job opportunities for our clients, provide training/ educational and vocational opportunities, and provide jobs and life skills training.
Education/Outreach: We provide free educational seminars and outreach to the entire Hampton Roads Community.
Free HIV Testing: The AIDS Fund provides free and confidential HIV testing to anyone free of charge.
Youth Programs: We provide empowerment programs, field trips and mentoring programs for children infected/affected by HIV/AIDS. We also provide support groups for gay, bisexual and questioning youth, ages 13-26.
