Shout! is a health advice and support service for gay and bisexual men and men who have sex with men based in Sheffield. With a particular remit of HIV prevention and sexual health promotion, we are open every Thursday 6.30pm - 9.30pm at The Circle in Sheffield city centre. Men of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to drop in, get one-to-one support from a trained worker, take part in activities, meet others in a safe and relaxed environment and pick up the latest information resources.
The Thursday sessions provide an opportunity for me to meet and build social networks with other men, without the pressures and pitfalls of the commercial scene. Workers are available to offer confidential one-to-one support covering a range of issues. Each week there is a facilitated activity around topics and themes that affect gay and bisexual men's health and wellbeing, including self esteem, homophobia, discrimination, media, coming out, sexual health, lifestyle and so on.
Screening for sexually transmitted infections, including HIV and Syphilis is available most Thursdays. Phone first to confirm availability.
A monthly newsletter is available upon request.
